Delicious Rogel Cake Recipe
Best Cake of Dulce de Leche forever and ever!!! 🔥🔥
The Rogel cake, a traditional Latin American dessert, comprises layers of thin, crisp pastry filled with creamy dulce de leche. Stacked high and topped with caramel, it’s a delightful indulgence.
Ingredients for realize a Rogel Cake:
- 1 pack of pre-made puff pastry dough
- 1 can of dulce de leche
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Shredded coconut for garnish (optional)
Instructions for coking a Rogel Cake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry dough and cut it into circles using a round cutter.
- Place the circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool.
- Heat the dulce de leche over low heat in a saucepan until it’s smooth and spreadable.
- Spread a layer of dulce de leche on each pastry circle and stack them on top of each other.
- In another saucepan, make caramel by melting sugar and water over medium heat until golden brown. Be careful not to burn it.
- Drizzle the caramel over the assembled cake, allowing it to set.
- Optionally, decorate the top with whipped cream and shredded coconut.
- Refrigerate for a few hours before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together.
